Actually, I believe that it is now safe to say that NFKthx's hook is its active community. It has enough members to stave off the staleness which befell other such forums, and they post enough to keep each other coming back.
...However, I fear that its livelihood will yet prove to be shortlived and that it will go the way of its forebearers.

I think we can all agree that discussions on "hooks" and goals are not very good "hooks" or goals. Sure they are. We just have to present it in a different way. We tell people that we have a "respectable" community and long, "engaging" discussions. What we don't tell them is our loose definitions of "respectable" and "engaging" and that all our discussion is about the lack of discussion. |
